Join our open weekly group run. This run is done with the YMCA and Bluenose Striders Running Club. YMCA Membership is not required. It is not a Triathlon Nova Scotia insured event..You are responsible for your own safety
Congratulations to all the BTC members that took part in the Blue Nose marathon, 1/2, 10K, 5k and relays on the weekend. Nancy Petrie (pictured above) writes,
"My …"isn’t it fun just giv’er run photo in a kilt!" Lets have a good time and participate shot.. I ran two legs of the relay — about 8.5K with Ambassatours as a fund raiser for YMCA Strong Kids..and we had a blast.. Running in a kilt with a Blue Nose is really fun!..alot of money was raised for the charity…and it was amazing to be there with Terry winning the marathon!!"

Notes: the blackflies have been awful — make sure you have eye protection on the ride. Be sure to follow all safety rules. Always wear your certified bike helmet while in possession of your bike. Obey all rules of the road. Ride single file, complying with the draft zone. Upon return dismount your bike on the right side of the road and cross only when safe to do so. Run on the left side of the road, go to the shoulder with oncoming traffic.
Start location: 2nd Peninsula, just outside Lunenburg. Directions/route map is here
Route: 10km total distance — 5K flat out and back with one small hill
Difficulty: as hard as you want it to be!

BTC member Cliff Worden-Rogers spent January thru April touring the US, Mexico and Canada where he and his training partner — Chris Gairns — ran, swam and biked just about anything they could find. The culmination was California 70.3 in late March. For a sense of their adventure, checkout the YOUTUBE video below. You will be inspired.
