Practise – Fancy Lake – Wed Sep 3 – Swim / Bike

Date: Wednesday Sep 3, 2008

Start time: setup 5:45pm, practise starts at 6:00pm

Activity : Swim (M) / Bike (Km)

  • Tri-a-tri : S300 /B8
  • Sprint : S750 /B10
  • Olympic : S1500 /B12

NOTE : The Wednesday night practises have been extended until Wed Sep 17.

Be sure to follow all safety rules. Always wear your certified bike helmet while in possession of your bike. Obey all rules of the road. Ride single file, complying with the draft zone. Upon return dismount your bike on the right side of the road and cross only when safe to do so. Run on the left side of the road, go to the shoulder with oncoming traffic.

Bike – Tuesday Time Trial – Sep 2

Note: Due to popular demand, the TT has been extended.

Date: Tuesday Sep 2, 2008

Start time: warm-up: 6pm, timing starts at 6:30pm

Start location: 2nd Peninsula, just outside Lunenburg. Directions/route map is [ here ]

Route:

  • TT – 10km total distance — 5K flat out and back with one small hill

Difficulty: moderate to difficult

Race – Ironman Canada – Aug 24

Steve Saunders writes ….

Ron Allen and I are doing the Ironman Canada Triathlon in Penticton, BC again this year on Sunday August 24.

The race starts 7 a.m. local BC time, 11 a.m. Nova Scotia time. The race consists of a 3.8K swim, 180K bike and 42.2K run in a near desert region of our country.
