As the 2008 biking season winds down, here are some of the hilites:

May – Spring Tri-camp - it was a BTC first. Coach Colin leads his athletes on the bike segment.

June – Al’s Road Race - a local, longtime tradition, Al Heubach’s Riverport Road Race. Greg T rounds the corner at Bulman Road.

June – Ride the Lobster – unicyclists from around the world converge on Nova Scotia for the TdF of unicycling. The weather improved as they moved across the province!

July – Kids of Steel - definitely the coolest bike of the year, this wooden model is the ultimate low-tech machine. (see below for the competition)

Summer – Time Trials at 2nd Peninsula – a fantastic season for TTs. And if we had a point series, Dave (pictured) would have won hands down.

Most improved cyclist – Wade started the season with some modest TTs. By the end of the season, he was on form with very fast rides … way to go!

2008 was the year of expensive gear - so much expensive gear … but does it make you go any faster ???
What about 2009? — more TTs, tris, hills, a few more Google maps with favourite routes and ???
