Bridgewater Triathlon Club

The BTC held their 2009 Annual General Meeting at the HB Studios Sports Centre on Saturday November 28, 2009.  Minutes have been sent to all of the current BTC members.

The new, 2010 BTC Executive is:

• Treasurer : Tom Rogers
• Secretary : Christine Chase

What: The Bridgewater Triathlon Club’s 2009 Annual General Meeting:

Why:

• Review the 2009 events and finances
• Discuss the 2010 season
• Elect a new executive

Despite the weather forecast, close to record numbers participated in the 2009 Riverport Duathlon held from the Riverport Elementary School on Sunday October 4, 2009.

The Bridgewater Triathlon Club will be hosting their 4th Annual Riverport Duathlon on Sunday October 4, 2009.

• The ‘Classic’ race starts at 10am and includes a 4k run, 28k bike and a 4k run
• The Do-a-DU gets underway at 10:30am and includes a 1k run, 14k bike and a 1k run

Timing will be by Atlantic Chip.  Long-sleeved t-shirts to the first 100 registered participants.  And there is a hot meal served after the race (approx. 12 noon) at the school.

Lots of prizes including:

• an overnight accommodations getaway for the 1st place Male and Female in the Classic race courtesy of Oak Island Resort
• clothing from Sugoi
• others from Triathlon Canada Magazine, the Lunenburg Bike Barn, emOcean, HB Studios Sports Centre and more
