Race Course Details



The Duathlon Classic comprises a 5km run, 20km bike, 2.5km run.

The Do-a-Du comprises a 2.5km run, 10km bike, 1km run.

Run #1

From the start, head south on Lower Lahave Road, following the road as it bends left at the junction with Kraut Point Road. Do-a-Du turnaround at the 1.25km point, Classic continue, following the road as it bends right over a bridge, until the 2.5km turnaround point... and, back the way you came.

Bike

From the transition, head north on Lower Lahave Road, left over the bridge and left following the #332, right turn onto Indian Path Road, follow until the 5km turnaround, and return the same way. Classic do it twice, Do-a-Du do just one lap.

Run #2

Go left out of transition, following the same route as run #1. However, this time, Do-a-Du turnaround at the 500m point, whilst Classic continue to the 1.25km turnaround point. Back the way you came, until the finish line at the end of the coned finishing chute.


How to Get to the Race
The race takes place from the Riverport Community Centre, which is located at 79 Lower Lahave Road, Riverport, NS, about a 30-minute drive from exit 11 of Highway 103. Dressing room changing area is limited. No showers.
Take exit 11 from the 103 towards Blockhouse.
Go straight through the first 4-way stop. Drive 11km.
Turn right at the next 4-way stop.
Go straight through the next 4-way stop towards Riverport, drive about 14km.
The "Welcome to Riverport" sign will be on your right - another 1km is an intersection - GO STRAIGHT into the village of Riverport. The Riverport Community Centre is 350m on your left.

Age Group World Championships Qualifier



The Duathlon Classic is a qualification race for the Triathlon Canada 2020 Age Group World Championship Team, with 1 slot per age group. If you are interested in competing for this slot, please note that you must complete the Expression of Interest form available online prior to the race. Registration opens three weeks before race date, and closes the day before the race. It is not possible to register your interest outside of this time.


In addition to provincial race rules, there are specific ITU Competition Rules which apply as the race is Worlds qualifier. All participants should familiarise themselves with these rules of competition:
