This year we had near perfect weather conditions for the racers at the 2012 Riverport DU -- 18C, overcast with a light breeze and a hint of fog over the river. The sold out event got underway ontime at 10am and when it was all over, local Colin Edwards was the first male and Halifax native Brooke Brown was the first female to cross the finish.
And 10 minutes into the post race meal -- the skies opened and the rain came down. Good timing :-)
Congratulations to all the participants and many thanks to all the volunteers, supporters and spectators that helped make the a huge success.
All proceeds from the event will be contributed to the new sports facility currently under construction -- the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre
